Agartala, 2nd May: In yet another exceptional job, Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha has assured financial assistance and provided justice to a helpless family affected by miscreants.
On April 9, 2023, Mr. Ashutosh Debnath, husband of Soma Das Debnath, a resident of Golchakkar, Agartala, a truck driver by profession, was severely attacked by some miscreants.
He is currently under treatment in the hospital with serious injuries.
This family originally resides in Rajnagar, Ekinpur, but is currently living in Agartala for professional reasons.
After the incident, when Mrs. Soma Das Debnath approached the West Agartala Police Station with the hope of justice, without getting a proper response, she directly wrote a written request to the office of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of the state.
Responding to the application, the office of the Chief Minister arranged a meeting with the Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha and with the family members in which the CM was aware about the matter by directly talking to the family during the weekly meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on April 29 and immediately directed the West District Superintendent of Police to file an FIR and ordered to arrest the culprits at the earliest.
The Chief Minister also directed the concerned department to provide financial assistance to the family.
After the strict direction came from Cheif Minister, within 48 hours, the accused involved in the case identified as Sajal Sarkar and Ramzan Mia, were arrested by the police of West Agartala Police Station.
In this exceptional example of the Chief Minister to get justice for the helpless family, the light of hope has really risen among the people.
Taking oath as Chief Minister for the second time, the Chief Minister Dr Saha of the state has become a sword against the miscreants, mafias and anti socials are creating chaos in the society.
