Woman Shot in Her Home in Ambassa Subdivision

Agartala: Feb 24: A woman was shot in her home in the Upnagar area of Ambassa subdivision. The injured woman, identified as Nilima Riang, is estimated to be 27 years old. According to a family member, Nilima was making ‘Pachra’ in her room around 9 am when a bullet suddenly struck her leg above the knee, passing through from one side to the other.

Family members witnessed the incident and promptly informed the fire brigade. Personnel from the Ambassa fire brigade arrived at the scene, rescued Nilima Riang, and transported her to Kula District Hospital. She is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The incident has caused significant concern in the area.
