The programme, spearheaded by the IPFT Jolaibari Divisional Committee, was held in support of party nominee Jitiram Tripura ahead of the upcoming elections. The campaign began with a large procession that passed through several localities in the Kuwaifang Bazaar area, drawing participation from party workers, supporters, and local residents. The rally later culminated in a public meeting at the marketplace.

Tripura’s Minority Welfare Minister Shukla Charan Noatia attended the programme as the chief guest and addressed the gathering. He was joined by IPFT central committee advisory chairman Manik Tripura, candidate Jitiram Tripura, and other senior leaders of the party.

Speaking at the rally, Noatia emphasised that the IPFT remains committed to development-driven politics and does not indulge in what he termed as “misleading narratives.” He highlighted the party’s efforts in working for the welfare of indigenous communities and other marginalised groups, asserting that inclusive development remains a core priority.

Party leaders expressed confidence in their electoral prospects, claiming that the strong turnout at the rally signalled growing public support in the constituency. Supporters were seen enthusiastically participating in the procession, raising slogans and voicing backing for the party’s agenda.

The rally is part of IPFT’s broader campaign strategy to consolidate its base in tribal-dominated areas ahead of the polls, with leaders continuing outreach efforts across key constituencies in the state.
