Protest March Held Against Minister’s Remarks

Agartala: April 09: A protest march was organized in the city by the Tribal Youth Federation Central Committee, condemning remarks made by Parliamentary Minister Ratan Lal Nath. The committee alleged that the minister targeted opposition leader Jitendra Choudhury’s caste during a sacred assembly on March 24.

During the protest, participants demanded appropriate action against the minister. The event also included a gathering where an effigy of Minister Ratan Lal Nath was burned. A leader of the committee addressed journalists, emphasizing the need for accountability and expressing strong disapproval of the remarks. Additionally, a left-wing youth organization joined the call for action against the minister.
