Agartala: Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath today inspected three offices including Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited, State Load Dispatch Centre, and Tripura Power Transmission Limited (TPTL) to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the Durga Puja days.
The Power Minister informed that he has visited the SLDC office where officials are deployed 24×7, and the strength has also been increased due to the Puja.
“I have inquired about everything. TPTL was also visited, where six persons are on standby. I visited the TSECL control room and also checked 1912. On Chaturthi, the peak demand was 352.7 MW. We supplied 44.5 MW to Bangladesh and also sold 21 MW. Today, on Panchami, the peak demand was 351.7 MW, which decreased. We supplied 45 MW to Bangladesh and sold 19 MW. Today on Shasthi, due to rain, the demand was 323 MW. We gave 43 MW to Bangladesh and sold 28 MW in the market,” he said.
The Minister also informed that for Saptami, Ashtami, and Navami, 300 MW has been kept in reserve.
“We can easily provide 380 MW. Last year it was 352 MW,” he added.
“I have also visited the 1912 Control Room. A total of 219 complaints were registered in 1912. There were many individual complaints, all of which have been solved except around 20 pending ones. I also spoke with one consumer through 1912. I have inquired about everything, and everywhere power is under control, and there is no issue,” he informed.
