Police Raid Abandoned House Following Secret Tip: Five Arrested in Gambling Den

Agartala: June 06: Acting on a confidential tip, law enforcement authorities conducted a raid on an abandoned house in the Hechuria area under the jurisdiction of Lefunga police station. The operation resulted in the arrest of five individuals involved in illegal gambling activities.

Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Sahadeba Das confirmed that they received information on Wednesday night regarding ongoing gambling within the abandoned premises. In response, the police swiftly organized the raid.

During the operation, the authorities apprehended five gamblers caught in the act, seizing playing cards and a significant amount of cash as evidence. A specific case has been filed against the arrested individuals.

The investigation continues as authorities work to dismantle the illicit gambling operation and ensure justice is served.
