New Delhi, Nov 4: Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb held a detailed and positive discussion with Rajesh Malik, Chief Executive Officer of National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), at his Delhi residence today regarding the early completion of three major ropeway projects proposed in Tripura.

The proposed ropeways include the Maharani to Chabimura, Udaipur Railway Station to Tripurasundari Temple, and Tripurasundari Temple to Chabimura routes. These ambitious projects aim to boost connectivity, tourism, and local employment opportunities in the state.

During the meeting, MP Deb emphasized the importance of these projects in transforming Tripura’s tourism landscape and improving accessibility to key cultural and natural heritage sites. He highlighted that once completed, the ropeways will not only attract more tourists but also create sustainable livelihood opportunities for local residents.

CEO Rajesh Malik responded positively and assured that the construction process would be fast-tracked. He informed that an NHLML technical team will soon visit Tripura to conduct field assessments and finalize necessary groundwork for initiating construction activities.

The discussion reflected a shared commitment to accelerate infrastructural development in the state under the guidance of the central government. MP Deb expressed confidence that these ropeway projects would turn Tripura into a major eco-tourism and pilgrimage destination in the North East.

He also thanked the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and NHLML for their proactive cooperation in realizing this long-pending dream of the people of Tripura. The projects are expected to enhance regional connectivity, promote sustainable tourism, and open up new avenues for economic growth and local employment.
