Agartala: Mar 14: In a significant political development, the Left Front in Tripura is grappling with an uphill battle. Recent assessments indicate that the Left Front stands little chance of securing victory in two key seats within the state. Former Tipra Motha supremo, Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, has emerged as a vocal critic of the Left Front. After addressing the media today, Debbarman expressed his dissatisfaction with the party’s trajectory.

Coincidentally, BJP-nominated candidates for the Lok Sabha seats—Kriti Singh Debbarma (East Tripura) and Biplab Kumar Deb (West Tripura)—arrived in the state on the same flight. Pradyot Kishore Debbarman’s critique extends beyond mere political maneuvering. He pointedly highlighted the Left Front’s prolonged tenure in power, spanning 25 years, during which both communists and Congress have held sway.
