Agartala, September 11: Kalyanpur-Pramodnagar MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury on Monday inspected the ongoing construction of the proposed Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Children’s Park near Kalyanpur School and reviewed the progress of the project.
The MLA took stock of the construction and beautification activities being undertaken at the site and assessed the works that are yet to be completed. Asim Deb Roy and several others accompanied him during the inspection.
The proposed park is being developed to provide children in Kalyanpur with a dedicated space for outdoor recreation and leisure. Once completed, the facility is expected to offer a suitable environment where youngsters can spend time outdoors and engage in recreational activities.
Besides serving children, the park is planned as a public space for families and other residents of the locality. Its development is also expected to improve the appearance of the surrounding area and add to the recreational facilities available to the community.
The project comes amid the demand for better recreational amenities for children in the locality. Residents have been seeking accessible spaces where youngsters can participate in outdoor activities in a safe and convenient setting.
During the site visit, attention was drawn to the need to complete the remaining construction and finishing works without further delay. The park is expected to be opened and inaugurated after all pending work has been completed.
The development of the children’s park forms part of broader efforts to improve public amenities in Kalyanpur. The addition of recreational infrastructure is expected to provide another community facility while contributing to the overall development and beautification of the locality.
As construction progresses, residents are looking forward to the completion of the project and its opening for public use. The park is expected to emerge as a recreational destination for children as well as a leisure space for families in the area.
