Agartala: July 30: Jishnu Deb Varman, recently appointed as the Governor of Telangana, visited the Mata Tripureshwari Temple in Udaipur on Wednesday along with his wife. He performed the customary puja at his ancestral home and sought blessings from the deity.
He was accompanied by ministers, MLAs, and other dignitaries, including Pranjit Singh Roy and Abhishek Debbarma.
In his address to the media after the puja, Jishnu Deb Varman expressed his pride in being the first person from Tripura to become a Governor. He noted that there was a time when people were unaware of Tripura’s existence, but the state has now gained recognition.
