Ruma Baidya Das, the housewife at the center of this distressing saga, recounts the terrifying events. The accused, she alleges, orchestrated her husband’s vanishing act and now brandish guns, menacingly targeting her entire family. On February 28 and March 2, as she stepped out of her home, a youth named Vicky, accompanied by those involved in her husband’s kidnapping, delivered the ominous threats. Vicky, driving a Maruti car, has struck fear into her heart twice already.
Desperate for safety, Ruma has sought refuge at her father’s house in Gandhigram. But her plea extends beyond personal security. Frustrated by the police’s inaction, she implores the Chief Minister to intervene decisively. Her demands are Locate her missing husband, Santosh Das, arrest the accused promptly, ensure strict action against those responsible.
