Agartala: Sept 08: The long-awaited results for Group D jobs in the JRTB were released on Saturday evening, following days of protests by unemployed youth. The results, which took four years to finalize, revealed that 63 posts remained unfilled due to a lack of eligible candidates. Additionally, many out-of-state candidates appeared on the merit list.
Despite the mandatory PRTC (Permanent Resident Certificate) requirement, the JRTB results have left many of the state’s unemployed disappointed. Within 24 hours of the results being published, the ruling BJP held a press conference to take credit for the government’s actions.
Subrata Chakraborty, the state BJP spokesperson, thanked the state government at a press conference held at the party’s office on Sunday. He stated that the government had previously announced that the results would be released between September 7th and 8th, and that this promise had been fulfilled. He further accused the opposition of instigating the unemployed and criticized the delay in the recruitment process.
Chakraborty attributed the delay to the BJP government’s commitment to transparency and preventing job losses. He contrasted this with the alleged corrupt practices of previous governments, citing instances of political appointments and subsequent cancellations due to legal challenges.
Addressing concerns about the unfilled posts and out-of-state candidates, Chakraborty explained that some candidates who had secured jobs in other departments might have overlooked updating their information, and that the PRTC requirement was not initially included in the 2020 notification.
