Agartala September 28: Common people are panicked by the miscreants’ weapons. Several firearms recoveries in the past few months have kept people awake at night. Meanwhile, the police of Sedhai police station managed to recover a pistol with nine rounds of bullets and four kg of ganja on Wednesday night from Ranjan Debbarma of Habi Charan area under Lefunga police station.

The police official said that the locals suspected Ranjan Debbarma after seeing him in Subal Singhpara area on Wednesday night. Then the police of Sidhai police station was informed. The police went and searched Ranjan Debbarma as usual. Nine rounds of the pistol were recovered from him. Nine kg of dry marijuana and a weighing instrument were recovered from the clean car. Then the accused Ranjan Debbarma was arrested and brought to the police station. The police seized the vehicle bearing TR 01BU 0387 from the accused. Police are also investigating whether the accused youth went to the area to commit any untoward incident.
