Agartala: Jan 23: A doctor is accused of a serious error during a delivery that has left a young woman critically ill in the Khowai area. The woman, Anuma Tanti, was admitted to Cheberi Hospital on December 7th and later referred to Khowai Hospital, where Dr. Arghamuly Debbarma delivered her baby the next day.

According to her husband, Bishwajit Tanti, Anuma did not urinate for two days following the delivery and was subsequently referred to GB Hospital. The doctors at GB Hospital diagnosed her with a kidney problem, which she had never experienced before. Anuma has since undergone dialysis five times, and although she can now urinate, her condition continues to deteriorate.

Bishwajit Tanti alleges that his wife’s condition is due to a serious error during the surgery at Cheberi Hospital, suspecting that Dr. Debbarma may have cut the urinary tract. He has filed a complaint at the police station, demanding a thorough investigation into the incident. The outcome of the investigation is awaited.
