Today marks the last day of the winter session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly. On the first day of the session, TSF had staged a protest at the Gandhi statue near the Circuit House, demanding the use of the Roman script for the Kokborok language.

A member of the organization spoke to reporters, stating that they have long been demanding question papers to be prepared in both Bengali and Roman scripts. However, the government has not taken any initiative to resolve the issue, and students are facing pressure to write in Bengali script. The protest aimed to bring this issue to the attention of everyone in the Tripura Legislative Assembly.

In summary, the Tribal Students’ Federation has renewed their protest demanding the use of the Roman script for the Kokborok language, highlighting the challenges faced by students due to the lack of government action.
