CM Manik Saha Assures Help to Citizens at Outreach Meet

Agartala, June 9: Reiterating the Tripura government’s commitment to transparent governance and citizen welfare, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday said that ensuring government benefits reach deserving people and addressing their grievances promptly remains one of the administration’s foremost priorities.

The Chief Minister made the remarks while interacting with citizens during the 67th edition of the “Mukhyamantri Samipeshu” programme held at his official residence in Agartala. The initiative provides a platform for people from different parts of the state to directly present their problems and seek government assistance.

As in previous editions, individuals approached the Chief Minister with requests related to medical treatment, housing, livelihood support and other personal difficulties. Among them was Manika Debbarma from Champlai Para under Mungiakami Block, who sought assistance for permanent housing and employment opportunities for her family. After hearing her concerns, Dr. Saha assured her that necessary support would be extended.

A significant number of applicants sought financial and medical assistance for the treatment of serious health conditions. Abhijit Deb from Khowai requested support for treatment of a complex liver ailment, while Sumiel and Jumli Rangkhawl from Teliamura sought help for their critically ill child. Ratna Biswas from Sepahijala district appealed for assistance for her husband’s neurological treatment.

Others seeking medical aid included Priyanka Gurudas from Madhuban for kidney-related treatment, Shantanu Sinha from Agartala for his son’s healthcare needs, Shyamal Chakraborty from Bardowali for medical and financial assistance, Dilip Kumar Sarkar for support in his son’s brain surgery, Usha Rishidas for her husband’s treatment, and Sanjit Deb from Teliamura for assistance in treating his seriously ill son.

The Chief Minister directed officials of the concerned departments to expedite necessary procedures and ensure access to advanced medical care wherever required. He also assured prompt financial assistance in deserving cases.

In addition, Kallol Brahmachari from Unakoti district sought intervention in a land-related matter. Dr. Saha assured him that the issue would be examined and appropriate action taken.

Senior government officials and hospital administrators were present during the programme to facilitate immediate coordination and support for applicants.
