Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath has been formally invited to participate in the prestigious North American Bengali Conference (NABC) 2026, one of the largest and most influential gatherings of the global Bengali diaspora.
The invitation was extended by the Cultural Association of Bengal (CAB) and the organizing committee of the 46th edition of the North American Bengali Conference, which is scheduled to be held from July 2 to July 5, 2026, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York, USA.
Recognized globally as a major platform celebrating Bengali identity, culture, and achievements, the four-day conference is expected to draw thousands of Bengalis and Bengali enthusiasts from across North America and different parts of the world. Over the years, NABC has evolved into a prominent international forum for cultural exchange, intellectual discussions, business networking, and community engagement.
According to the organizers, NABC 2026 will bring together distinguished personalities from diverse fields, including politics, business, academics, technology, arts, literature, and social service. Entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, cultural icons, and community leaders are also expected to participate in the mega event.
The organizers stated that for nearly five decades, the North American Bengali Conference has played a significant role in preserving and promoting Bengali language, traditions, heritage, and culture among expatriate Bengalis living abroad. The annual event has also served as a bridge connecting Bengalis worldwide and fostering collaborations in areas such as trade, education, innovation, and social initiatives.
One of the major highlights of NABC 2026 will be a large-scale trade and exhibition fair featuring more than 70 stalls. The exhibition is expected to showcase a wide range of products, including traditional handloom items, boutique collections, jewellery, handicrafts, fashion products, and artisanal works from West Bengal and various parts of India.
The organizers believe the exhibition will provide international exposure to Indian artisans and entrepreneurs while giving visitors an opportunity to experience Bengal’s rich cultural and creative heritage.
The invitation to Minister Ratan Lal Nath is being viewed as a significant recognition of Tripura’s growing engagement with the global Bengali community and international cultural platforms.
