Tripura issues alert as Cyclone Migzaum lashed the state

Agartala: Dec 07: The impact of Cyclone Migzaum has had a major impact on people’s lives due to rains throughout the day, although not torrential from this morning. As per the forecast this rain will continue tomorrow. A warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in North Tripura district.

Incidentally, the impact of the Migzaum has been greater in Tamil Nadu than in Andhra Pradesh. Many areas of the city are under water. Tamil Nadu has been hit by Cyclone Migzaum. Apart from Chennai, other parts of Tamil Nadu were hit by heavy rains. Eight people have already died in Chennai. Water has also entered the houses in different areas. The impact of that cyclone has also hit Tripura. Day-long rains from this morning across the state have had a major impact on public life.

Today, the maximum temperature of the day was recorded at 21.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 19.2 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department. Agartala has recorded 0.163 mm rainfall till this afternoon. Tomorrow is expected to be a high of 25 degrees and a low of 19 degrees Celsius. Light rain is likely at most places in Tripura tomorrow.
