Tripura government announces Rs 4,000 financial assistance for 42,981 registered construction workers

Agartala: August 29: The Tripura government has announced financial assistance of Rs 4,000 each for 42,981 registered construction workers in the state. This decision, made by State BJP general secretary and MLA Bhagaban Das during a press conference, will incur an expenditure of Rs 17.19 crore.

The announcement comes in the context of continuous rainfall leading to a flood situation in the state. The government is actively addressing the flood-related challenges, and citizens are contributing to the state’s relief fund.

Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha has taken steps to assist flood-affected individuals, including the announcement of financial aid for registered construction workers. The funds will benefit workers from ordinary to very ordinary families across various districts: West district: 13,148 registered workers, Sepahijala district: 5,899 registered workers, Gomati district: 5,658 registered workers, South Tripura district: 4,133 registered workers, Khowai district: 4,529 registered workers, Dhalai district: 3,592 registered workers, Unokoti district: 3,461 registered workers, North Tripura district: 2,121 registered workers.
