Tourism Minister held meeting with auto drivers

Agartala, August 23: Complaints are coming from various quarters that passengers from the state and outside the state are being harassed by some auto drivers at various times. Based on that complaint, a conference at the old passenger terminal building of Agartala airport today was held in the presence of various high-ranking officials of the administration. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury held a meeting with representatives of labor unions and auto drivers.

On this day, he expressed his concern and said that such an incident is very undesirable and unfortunate. It is not desirable in any way and the government will not tolerate such an incident in any way. Moreover, he appealed to all those involved in passenger transport at the airport not to tarnish the reputation of the state of Tripura in any way.

He warned that the administration will take strict action if the incident repeats itself in the coming days.
