The Instrument Landing System at MBB Airport will be commissioned in May: Sushanta

Agartala, January 11: The Instrument Landing System or ILS has been down at MBB Airport for a long time. It will be launched next May. Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury gave this information in response to CPM MLA Sudip Sarkar’s question during the question and answer session on the last day of the winter session of the 11th Legislative Assembly today.

MLA Sudip Sarkar said that due to the non-functionality of the ILS at MBB airport, there is great difficulty in landing the aircraft in dense fog and adverse weather conditions. Multiple flights are canceled every day. The flight is delayed. The suffering of passengers has increased.

In this regard, Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that the ILS has been idle for a long time at MBB Airport. It will be launched next May, he assured.
