Agartala July 16: Dhalai district president and secretary of BMS expelled Santosh Dey, joint secretary of BMS, in a press conference recently. The committee lifted the expulsion on Sunday. It is known that extreme factional conflict was going on within the BMS committee. Santosh Dey was expelled due to this group conflict. On this day, the leadership of the state committee of BMS and the leadership of the district committee met in Ambassa motor stand at the office of the bus and jeep drivers association.

After several hours of meeting, the allegations leveled against Joint Secretary Santosh Dey were not substantiated. As a result of which the meeting decided that Santosh was innocent and the allegation of financial embezzlement was also baseless. And those who raised this accusation could not give any fair answer to it. So the existing committee will remain in place. In view of which no new committee was allowed to be reconstituted today. But a group of BMS could not accept. Things are shaping up to be a bit heated. Police and paramilitary forces reached the spot after receiving information. However, there is no news of any exciting situation till the time of writing. BMS General Secretary Tapan Dey, BMS District Superintendent Asim Dutta, District President Shanti Debbarma, Secretary Bikas Das and others were present in this meeting.
