Agartala: Dec 23: Agartala December 23: Candidates gave a message to the Chief Minister of the state to the cabinet members in front of the Ujjayant State Museum on Saturday demanding the appointment of the STGT 2022 passers as teachers in various schools of the state after the results are released. Around 700 to 800 examinees declared themselves to have passed. However, their results are yet to be published. Candidates who are looking for jobs participated in this program on this day.
In order to eliminate the shortage of teachers, they demanded the appointment of the Chief Minister and Education Minister Prof. Doctor Manik Saha. They said around 700 to 800 candidates can clear the STGT exam. Although the results have not been published, it is their opinion that there is a huge shortage of teachers in class 9 and 10 in the state. Almost a year and two months have passed since the examination, but no action is being taken to publish their results and recruit them. At various times, they gathered at different places and appealed to various ministers of the state government demanding the release of results and appointment of teachers. They even personally met the ministers. They have been told that since the Education Department is currently in the hands of the Chief Minister, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha will be able to solve their problems.
They sought time to meet the Chief Minister of the state at various times but due to the Chief Minister’s busy schedule, they are unable to meet the Chief Minister. Due to which they have drawn the attention of the Chief Minister to eliminate this problem. They learned that the Chief Minister had said a couple of things about the STGT during the summer session. But since then till now they don’t know what the Chief Minister is thinking about their issue. A notification was issued by the Education Department that 230 posts of teachers will be appointed. They claim that this number is very low. Because the shortage of teachers has not been removed even after giving jobs to TET graduates. And teachers have not been appointed at the secondary level so far. Many teachers will retire this year as well. As a result, teacher shortage will increase. In this case, if they are not appointed as teachers, the quality of education will further deteriorate. For this, they have drawn the attention of the Chief Minister to demand the appointment of teachers to maintain the quality of education and eliminate the shortage of teachers.
