Agartala, April 28: Supriya Das Dutta, the Zila Sabhadhipati of Sepahijala district, has garnered honor not only for her district and state but for the entire nation. She has been chosen to participate in an upcoming event at the UN Headquarters in New York City on May 3rd, in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of India to the UN, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). This prestigious event will coincide with the 57th Session of the Commission on Population and Development. Representing Tripura’s Sepahijala district, Supriya Das Dutta will be one of three Indian women participating in this significant gathering.

Supriya Das Dutta has dedicated years of tireless effort to empower women in local governance, particularly through the Panchayati Raj system. Her commitment and expertise have earned her recognition and respect not only within her home state but across the entire country. She serves as a role model for women everywhere, exemplifying that great achievements are attainable through hard work and determination.

Her political journey commenced with the support of the BJP party. Elected as the Zila Sabhadhipati of Sepahijala at the young age of 37, Supriya has since worked relentlessly for the betterment of her district, state, and nation.
