Agartala: Jul 01: Three and a half lakh rupees fraud by fraudsters in the name of Covid vaccine survey. Money disappeared from the bond bank of two businessmen. Three fraudsters were arrested on the basis of complaint in the police station. The arrested were Mithu Gaur, Lakshmi Gaur and Gautam Biswas. All of them live in Baruakandi village of Dharmanagar.
This sensational incident took place in Kadamtala police station area of North Tripura district. It is learned that two businessmen named Sandeep Dev, a resident of Premtala area of Kadamtala police station and Satyaranjan Nath of Kadamtala area filed two separate cases of missing money from their bandhan bank. 2 lakh 70 thousand of Sandeep Dev and 82 thousand of Satyaranjan Nath were deducted from their account.
According to the complaint, Superintendent of Police of North District Bhanupada Chakraborty formed a team to investigate. Upon investigation, it was learned that the related father and daughter Mithu Gaur and Lakshi Gaur took a scooter and went to the shop of Satyaranjan and Sandeep in Kadamtala area and conducted a survey of the Covid vaccine. Then the young woman sent some messages from the mobile phone of the two businessmen to the person after talking about the vaccine survey through a video call with their boss who was sitting in Agartala. After some time, Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand was deducted from Sandeep’s account and Rs 82 thousand from Satyaranjan’s account. But Sathyaranjan took a photo of the scooty with one of his employees even though he could not understand anything during the fraud in the name of  Sarve.
On Friday, the police of Dharmanagar police station arrested another youth named Gautam Biswas of Baruakandi area along with the cheating girl and father on the basis of the photo of that scooter. Meanwhile, the caught cheating young woman said that she had asked her neighbor Gautam for some work a few days ago. Then Gautam told her to contact him through the mobile number of a person in Agartala. Later, when the young woman contacted the man in Agartala, he said that some survey should be done on the covid vaccine. Then the person sent the name and address of Satyaranjan Nath of Kadamtala area and Sandeep Dev of Prematala area to the survey. And when he went to the survey, he sent some messages from the mobile phones of those two people to the boss of Agartala.
On the other hand, Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty said that three people have been arrested on the charge of cheating in the name of Covid vaccine survey. At present, keeping them in the custody of Kadamtala police station, the police are conducting war-time activities to nab this fraudulent gang by interrogating them. According to police sources, the three fraudsters arrested on Saturday will be handed over to the Dharmanagar District Court after seeking police remand.
