Police arrests two touts

Agartala: Feb 01: In a raid conducted by the Agartala Government Railway Police on Friday midnight, two touts were arrested from the Bamutia and Sedhai police station areas. Today, they were produced in court.

Agartala Government Railway Police Station OC Tapas Das stated that the accused have been helping citizens illegally cross the border from Bangladesh to India for a long time. He confirmed that they were produced in court today.

 

Das also mentioned that in January this year, the Railway Police arrested nine Bangladeshi citizens who had entered India illegally and 13 people who helped them cross the border from Agartala railway station. He assured that this operation will continue in the future.
