Agartala, December 7: Balaram Saha’s dead body was recovered from West Bhubanban area on November 26. In view of that incident, a case of murder was registered at Ramnagar police station. Police investigation revealed the name of a person involved in the murder case. Ramnagar Police Station OC Rakesh Baidya said that the police have arrested the accused. He said that he has been handed over to the court seeking police remand.

It is to be noted that on November 26, a dead body of a man named Balaram Saha was found in a drain in West Bhubanban area. He was a car driver by profession. Injuries were found on the head and various parts of the body.

The family of the deceased alleged that Balaram was murdered. He was hacked to death. Later, a case was filed at the Ramnagar police station by Ratan Sahar, father of the deceased. Immediately, the police took over the case and started investigation.

Rakesh Baidya, OC of Ramnagar Police Station, said that a person named Jayanta Dev (50), a resident of West Bhubanban area, who was involved in the murder, has been arrested by the police. But so far the real reason for the murder has not been found. He has been handed over to the court seeking police remand today. Because the initial idea of the police is that more than one person is involved in the murder. OC Rakesh Baidya said that a lot of information and the reason for the murder will be known about him in police remand.
