Agartala: Jue 04: Nibeo Debbarma, a student of the School of Science, Shyamali Bazar, has achieved a remarkable All India Rank of 429 (PREP-ST) in the JEE (Advanced) 2025, one of India’s toughest engineering entrance examinations. Hailing from Khowai, Nibeo is the daughter of Sanjit and Lipika Debbarma. She was a beneficiary of Tripura’s state-run Medha Scheme, a flagship initiative offering free coaching to meritorious students from diverse backgrounds.
Through the Medha Scheme, Nibeo attended classes at the School of Science in Agartala, a premier institution recognized for its success in national-level exams. The scheme enabled her to receive focused mentorship and quality education—key factors in her outstanding performance.
Principal of the School of Science, Abhijit Bhattacharjee, lauded her achievement, stating, “Nibeo Debbarma is a shining example of how talent, when supported by opportunity and guidance, can accomplish great things. She inspires students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds to dream big.”
The faculty also congratulated Nibeo and her family, expressing pride in her achievement and wishing her continued success. Over the years, the School of Science has built a reputation for excellence, with over 470 students clearing JEE and 472 qualifying in medical exams like JIPMER.
In a bid to continue nurturing young talent, the School of Science announced the continuation of its Medha Scheme coaching for JEE, NEET, and Tripura Joint Entrance exams in 2026 and 2027. The new session begins on 15th July 2025, selecting 200 students with reservation across General (50%), Tribal (20%), SC (20%), Minority (5%), and BPL (5%) categories.
Nibeo’s success stands as a milestone, proving that with the right support, determination, and education, excellence is within reach.
