Chief Minister Dr. Saha highlighted Tripura’s unique offerings—from cultural heritage and ancient temples to scenic landscapes and eco-tourism sites. He stressed the importance of strategic investment in connectivity and marketing to make North East India a preferred travel destination, both for domestic and international tourists.

“The North East has immense natural beauty and cultural richness that can transform the region into a major tourism hub. With coordinated efforts and sustainable practices, we can ensure long-term growth that benefits local communities,” Dr. Saha stated.

Union Minister Scindia reiterated the Centre’s commitment to enhancing aviation and tourism infrastructure in the region. He also assured support for improving air connectivity to remote destinations and integrating tourism with regional development goals.

The task force aims to develop actionable policies and monitor their execution across states. By fostering regional cooperation and leveraging each state’s strengths, the initiative seeks to position North East India as a vibrant and sustainable tourism destination.

The meeting concluded with a consensus on prioritizing eco-friendly tourism, capacity building, and the promotion of local culture, handicrafts, and cuisine as integral parts of the region’s tourism identity.
