The accused have been identified as Deepak Chandra Paul, a resident of Narsingarh, and Mangal Kaloi of Nandan Nagar. According to police sources, Paul was apprehended in the early hours of Saturday, while Kaloi was detained during a raid conducted at his residence around 3 am.

Police officials stated that the two individuals were involved in sharing AI-generated images portraying the Chief Minister in an objectionable manner. The content reportedly spread rapidly across multiple social media platforms, drawing attention and prompting immediate action from law enforcement authorities.

Acting swiftly on the matter, police teams carried out separate operations at different locations to trace and detain the accused. Both individuals were subsequently brought to the police station for questioning.

During interrogation, investigators sought to determine the origin of the images as well as the methods used for their creation and circulation. Officials are also examining whether the accused acted independently or were part of a larger network involved in producing or disseminating such content.

Police confirmed that relevant legal provisions have been invoked against the accused in connection with the case. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of further arrests as the investigation progresses.

Emphasising the seriousness of the issue, police urged citizens to exercise caution while using social media platforms, particularly when sharing content generated using artificial intelligence tools. They warned against the circulation of misleading, defamatory, or objectionable material, which can have legal consequences.

Officials reiterated that strict action would be taken against those found misusing digital platforms to spread false or harmful information. They also appealed to the public to verify content before sharing and report any suspicious or inappropriate posts to the authorities.

Further details in the case are awaited as the investigation continues.
