Tripura Assembly Speaker and Dharmanagar MLA Vishwabandhu Sen inaugurated the S-OST Center and FI-ART Center at Uttara District Hospital on Monday under the initiative of Tripura state AIDS control society, Health & Family Welfare Development, to eradicate AIDS forever by 2030. Also present on the occasion were CMO Arunabh Chakraborty, District Magistrate Nagesh Kumar B, District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty, Dharmanagar municipal corporation Chairperson Pradyot De Sarkar and Shyamal Nath.
Speaking on this day, Vice-Principal Biswabandhu Sen said, ‘Specifically through the measures taken to prevent HIV infection, multiple initiatives are being formed to prevent infection and social awareness’. He also said that since the HIV treatment center will be established here, all these patients will be treated easily and free of charge.
