From early Wednesday morning, officials were seen mobilizing resources and dispatching polling teams from PM Shri Government Girls’ School. Personnel carried Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) units, and other essential materials to their respective polling stations, marking the final stage of logistical readiness ahead of voting day.

A total of 55 polling stations have been established across the constituency to facilitate voters. Among these, 11 have been designated as model polling stations, reflecting enhanced arrangements aimed at improving voter experience and accessibility. In a significant initiative promoting gender inclusion, all model polling stations will be managed entirely by women staff, highlighting the growing role of women in the electoral process.

The Election Commission of India has emphasized the importance of maintaining strict adherence to electoral guidelines. Adequate measures have been put in place to ensure security, transparency, and convenience for voters. Officials have also focused on streamlining operations to avoid delays and ensure a hassle-free voting experience.

The deployment of women-led polling stations is being viewed as a progressive step toward strengthening inclusivity and encouraging broader participation in democratic practices. It also reflects ongoing efforts to empower women within the electoral framework.

As Dharmanagar prepares for polling day, the atmosphere remains charged with anticipation. Political parties have concluded their campaigns, while voters are gearing up to exercise their democratic rights in what is expected to be a closely watched and decisive by-election.
