Agartala: Feb 09: The leader of the opposition , Jitendra Chowdhury, has once again raised his voice against the ruling party, criticizing the state government as being a “commission-based government.” On Sunday, while addressing the media in Agartala, Chowdhury made several sharp remarks against the ruling party, accusing them of misleading the public. He stated that the ruling party is keeping people in the dark, busy with distractions, and criticized the Chief Minister and other ministers for not taking any substantial action, suggesting that their only role is to continue with this false narrative.
Chowdhury further claimed that the state government has broken the trust and hopes of the people. He accused the ruling party of making false promises in the name of development and now attempting to stay in power by deceiving the people. According to him, the people are no longer fooled by these lies and have recognized the true face of the government.
The opposition leader also highlighted internal conflicts within the ruling party, suggesting that there are signs of a “Yadu dynasty” struggle within the government. He warned that this internal discord could quickly spread throughout the entire state, causing further instability.
Chowdhury, who is also the state secretary of the CPI(M), believes that the BJP has lost its identity in the state. He attributed the party’s rise to power in Delhi to the “Hindu wave” in the recent elections, stating that it has led to the BJP’s return to power. He further criticized the BJP for not having any real agenda of its own, claiming that its rise is based on exploiting communal sentiments rather than any genuine political vision.
