Agartala, March 8: IPFT MLA Shukla Charan Nowatia’s tone has changed after being sworn in as a cabinet member. It is not possible to hold the claim of Tipraland to the people for long because people really like development. IPFT’s Shukla Charan Nowatia said this in no uncertain terms while sitting in his office room in the secretariat after taking the oath today. To be clear, Tipraland or Greater Tipraland did not have much impact on the election. Rather, people voted on the question of development.

On this day, he said, he is very happy to get the opportunity to be a member of the cabinet in Tripura. He thanked everyone for that. In his words, I will try to reach the basic rights to the people after getting the new responsibility. In that, of course, there will be success, he expressed hope.

According to him, Tipraland’s demand had an impact on the assembly elections in 2018. A section of the twenty-third assembly elections hijacked that claim. But, the BJP-IPFT alliance ultimately benefited from the fight over that demand from the opposition seat.

According to him, it is not unusual to have separate state demands. But it is not possible for people to hold that claim for a long time. Because people really like and give priority to development. According to him, there was a two-sided fight in 2018. But, this time the opposition has split into two factions giving the advantage to the BJP-IPFT alliance.
