The first session of the 13th Legislative Assembly in Tripura will be held on March 24. The Tripura government will introduce vote-on-account in that session. Also, as per tradition the first session of the English year will begin with the Governor’s address.

Incidentally, the assembly session will be held on March 24 after the new government is established in Tripura. Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya convened the first session of the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly at eleven o’clock that day under the powers given in Article 174 (1) of the Indian Constitution.

Meanwhile, the newly elected MLAs will take oath in Tripura on March 16. The oath-taking ceremony will be held at eleven o’clock on that day in the assembly hall. In a circular, the Secretary of the Legislative Assembly requested the newly elected members to participate in the oath-taking ceremony with the election certificate issued by their respective returning officers. Meanwhile, the BAC meeting will be held soon after the swearing-in of the newly elected legislators to decide on the duration of the Assembly session.
