A Memorandum of Agreement has been signed on _March 2023 and _ March 2023 between the Indian Army and Two hospitals in the State of Tripura, namely ABV Regional Cancer Centre and Agartala Government Medical College & GBP Hospital.   On behalf of Headquarters Eastern Command, Headquarters 101 Area, Shillong and Central Organisation, ECHS the Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Regional Director      Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Guwahati with the Directors of the both the Hospitals.  This Memorandum of Agreement will facilitate, Cashless and Capless Medical Treatment to ESM beneficiaries and dependents of ECHS in the State of Tripura to include Assam Rifles ECHS Member at CGHS rates.  This will alleviate the difficulties of veterans and their dependents/ beneficiaries traveling to the other states of North East especially to Assam (at Guwahati) to get the multispeciality medical cover.  Also, for the first time the Oncology facilities at ABV Regional Cancer Centre at Agartala have been empanelled with Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme which will alleviate the difficulties of Veterans and their beneficiaries traveling to other part of the Country for Cancer related treatment and follow up.  Also to assist the ESMs in obtaining hassle free treatment at Agartala Govt Medical College & GBP Hospital, the Local Military Authority has also established a Help Centre which will be available to assist the veterans visiting the facility.  The arrangement which is a first of this kind in the state of Tripura,  has been part of the endeavour of the Regional Centre Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Guwahati to provide holistic medical cover to the ESM of the state, under the supervision of Headquarters Eastern Command and Headquarters 101 Area, Shillong.
