Agartala: August 13: During the meeting, Governor Dev Varma engaged in a meaningful dialogue with the students on their academic progress, institutional milestones, and career aspirations. He commended their dedication to agricultural studies and urged them to become agents of change by contributing to India’s innovation-driven and sustainable farming future.
The Governor also acknowledged COA Tripura’s role in shaping skilled agricultural professionals. Accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the college has been a pillar of agricultural education in the Northeast since its inception in 2007. Initially offering undergraduate programs, it has now expanded to postgraduate courses, fostering the growth of agri-scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs.
The educational tour provided students with valuable exposure to diverse agro-climatic zones, advanced research facilities, and cutting-edge farming practices. It also offered a unique opportunity to engage with policymakers and leaders influencing India’s agricultural policies.
The visit to the Governor’s residence was among the most inspiring moments of the tour, leaving the students motivated to combine academic excellence with practical field knowledge and civic responsibility in their future careers.
