Agartala April 20: Garia Puja was held at Kshudiram Bose English Medium School on Friday. Puja starts from 9 am on this day. At 10 minutes garia bandana is done. Health camps have been organized on the occasion of Garia Puja. This puja is a traditional festival of the state.
This puja has been going on for thousands of years. Earlier this puja was restricted to the public sector. The initiators said that now this puja has become universal. They expressed hope that this bandh of harmony will be strengthened through worship.
