Upon receiving news of the incident, Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, the District Magistrate of Sipahijala, visited the school canteen. He found that food items were scattered and expired spices were being used in an unscientific and unhygienic manner. The District Magistrate immediately ordered the disposal of these items and issued a show-cause notice to the in-charge of the canteen. He also visited the Takarjala Community Health Center to inquire about the treatment of the sick students.

Jaiswal spoke with the hospital doctors and emphasized the importance of providing food to the students in a hygienic environment at the school. He instructed the necessary measures to be taken. Parents, upon hearing about the incident, rushed to the hospital, worried about their children.
