Drugs seized from medical store: employee arrested

Police have arrested a person for selling drugs in a medical store. The owner of the shop is currently absconding. However, the police claimed that it would be possible to nab him soon. The police of Sabroom police station have registered a case under section 21 C/25/29 of the NDPS Act.

Sabroom Police Station OC Jayanta Kumar Dey said that the raid was conducted at Vivekananda Medical Hall at around 11:15 on Friday night based on a tip-off. There were reports of selling drugs in that shop. 180 bottles of Phensidyle were recovered in that operation. Police have arrested Rajesh Das, an employee of a drug store. However, the owner of the shop is absconding and a search is on for him.

Jayanta claims that the owner and employees of the shop are involved in the sale of drug paraphernalia. The police interrogated the arrested employee.
