Ampi, 6th of February 2024. Due to prevalence of gamblers activities common people are in disturbance in different places under Debdaru OP in Shantir Bazar, South Tripura. As per the OP OC Bakuljoy Reang, 3 gamblers namely Rifru Mog, (24), Pabitra Tripura, (38), Joy Manik Tripura, (33) have been arrested including cash from different places in his jurisdiction and filed case against them. He said, “Our police team has geared up to implement strict campaign to abolish the tendency of gamblers who are defiling the society. We are always in promptness to eradicate any kind of antisocial activities in our OP area.” Sources said, a police team under the supervision of Bakuljoy Reang, OC of Debdaru OP raided the gamblers’ points and arrested 3 gamblers with red handed including cards and cash money. All of them have been arrested under the section of 12-TG Act. Police are searching other addicted persons who are associated with gambling & drinking tendency in the area. Local inhabitants of the area said that the Debdaru OP police officials are maintaining law and orders to prevent like this antisocial activities which are affecting the youngsters of the society and destroying the healthy atmosphere of the village. On the other hand the OP officials have recovered a missing boy named Khatungrai Reang (23) and handed him over to his parents. The locals have appreciated the achievement of the police officials.
