While patrolling the border on Thursday morning, BSF soldiers found a dead body lying in Chagalnaia Jashpur area of Feni district of Bangladesh. Immediately the matter was reported to BGB by BSF. After that, the border guards of the two countries sat in a flag meeting with the body.

On behalf of India, BSF Commander Rakesh Thakur and BGB Jashpur Commander Subedar Hasibur Rahman, Chhagalnaya Police Station OC Sudip Roy, Rishum Out Post-Outpost Police Station Incharge Chakla Jamadia etc. were present in that meeting. It was decided through discussion in the meeting that the body should be reported to the local police station as it was found in Bangladesh. He accordingly sent a report to the BGB Chagalnaya police station and the police came and recovered the dead body and took it to Feni General Hospital for post-mortem.

Belonia police also said that the deceased’s brother Bhutt Baidya identified the body. The body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem tomorrow.
