People of a part of the state are trying to destroy the harmony based on this issue. Therefore, CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury demanded the intervention of the Chief Minister to maintain peace and order in the state.

Chowdhury said in a press conference that on December 10, in a function organized at Rajnagar Dimatali, the chief minister of the present state, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, gave a small memorial with the inscription of old Jagannath temple under the picture of that mosque. The Chief Minister also accepted it. It has created wounds in the minds of the people of the minority community. He claimed that the people of a part of the state are trying to ignite the conflict.
