Agartala: August 03: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has initiated a fundraising campaign in Tripura to support those affected by natural disasters in Kerala’s Wayanad district. The campaign began with a procession from the CPI(M) office at Melarmath, with prominent leaders including former Chief Minister and Politburo member Manik Sarkar, and former minister Manik De, participating.

Manik Sarkar highlighted the severity of the disaster in Wayanad, noting the significant loss of life. He mentioned that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had called for generous financial assistance to aid the affected individuals. In response, fundraising efforts are being conducted across various parts of Tripura, with the collected funds to be sent to Kerala.
