Addressing teachers and students, Dr. Saha emphasized the significant role educators play in shaping responsible individuals and urged them to embrace this opportunity. He highlighted the importance of education as a foundation for the development of any state or country, reaffirming the government’s commitment to prioritizing education, healthcare, and agriculture.

He mentioned the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 in the state as part of efforts to enhance the education system. Additionally, he stated that the government aims to establish more English-medium schools and recruit skilled English-language teachers. Acknowledging concerns over Bengali being used for instruction in certain English-medium schools, he assured that corrective measures would be taken.

The Chief Minister also noted Tripura’s progress in the education sector, stating that the state has gained national-level recognition for its achievements. He reiterated the government’s efforts to further strengthen the education system.

Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, present at the event, criticized the previous government, alleging that political favoritism had hindered the state’s education sector. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the current government’s progress, citing improved student performance in recent secondary and higher secondary exam results conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education.

Several legislators also attended the event, marking the occasion as a significant step in the state’s educational development.
