Agartala: Dec 18: Since last one week, the Border Guard Force, Tripura Frontier has been conducting a series of joint operations against illegal cultivation of ganja. Today BSF along with NCB, TSR, Tripura Police and Excise department destroyed 31,500 cannabis plants.

The BSF said in a statement today that it destroyed 31,500 annabis plants growing in about 15 single plots of land in the common areas of Ghazeria and Ganiamara villages under Bishalgarh police station.

The statement further informed that in another operation today, 30,000 ganja plants were destroyed in 18 acres of land in the common area of village South Kalamchoura under Kalamchoura police station. A total of 6,09,400 trees have been destroyed in Tripura so far this season.
