Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday described Pristha Pramukhs as the backbone of the Bharatiya Janata Party, stressing that their silent, consistent work ensures the party’s victory in every election. He was addressing the Pristha Pramukh Sammelan organised by the Mohanpur Mandal under the leadership of Minister Ratanlal Nath.
More than 1,000 Pristha Pramukhs from 56 booths of the Mohanpur Assembly constituency, along with members of booth committees and workers from various morchas and cells, attended the conference. Dr. Saha recalled his long-standing association with former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and their roles in strengthening the BJP ahead of the 2018 polls. He highlighted how, as Pristha Pramukh in-charge, he intensified the membership drive that helped the party gain momentum at the grassroots.
Without naming Tipra Motha, the Chief Minister launched a sharp attack, asserting that the era of politics driven by instigating surrendered elements was over. “Criminals can never be Karyakartas of the BJP, nor can they contribute to development and good governance,” he said. He added that the BJP cannot be intimidated by threats and emphasized that Janajati communities are increasingly recognizing the party’s commitment to genuine development. This growing trust, he said, will ensure the BJP’s success in the upcoming ADC elections.
Dr. Saha urged Pristha Pramukhs and Karyakartas to work with unity and mutual trust to further strengthen the organization. Minister Ratanlal Nath noted that the historic gathering would inspire workers with renewed dedication.
Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Mahila Morcha state president Mimi Majumder, and several senior leaders were present at the event.
