Agartala: August 13: State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee has expressed gratitude to voters and congratulated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates for their success in the Tristar Panchayat elections. Speaking at a press conference at the state BJP office on Tuesday evening, Bhattacharya highlighted the significant victories achieved by the party.

Tripura CM reaffirms commitment to boost higher education

According to Rajib Bhattacharjee, BJP candidates won 5,697 out of 6,370 seats in the Gram Panchayat elections, capturing 584 out of 606 Gram Panchayats, which translates to a 96 percent success rate. Additionally, BJP candidates secured 406 out of 423 Panchayat Samiti seats, resulting in a 97 percent victory rate. The party also achieved a complete victory in the Zilla Parishad elections, winning all eight district councils and 113 out of 116 seats.

Rajib Bhattacharjee emphasized that the double engine government is working in the interest of the people, which led to the spontaneous support for BJP candidates. He assured that those elected will work for the benefit of the people and stressed the importance of honesty in their future endeavors.
