Attempt to murder: man throat slit in public

Agartala: July 04: In a horrified incident, a man was brutally attacked on a public street in Dharmanagar, North Tripura. The victim, identified as Nimai Debnath, is currently fighting for his life at the Dharmanagar District Hospital. Doctor on duty said the victim’s condition as critical due to severe blood loss and he is battling for his life.

According to Debnath’s account, the assault occurred around 8:30 PM yesterday in the Paschim Radhapur area. Locals discovered him lying in critical condition and promptly alerted the fire department. Rescue personnel swiftly transported the severely injured victim to the hospital.

Medical examination revealed a deep cut to Debnath’s throat, causing severe damage to his trachea. The substantial blood loss has left his condition extremely critical.

Debnath alleges that the attack was carried out by his brother-in-law and other relatives due to a family dispute. Authorities have launched an investigation and are actively searching for the accused.
