The Governor’s decision to appoint Anurag was based on recommendations made by the state government and in line with the established procedures. The appointment has been welcomed by various quarters of the administration, who believe that his leadership will strengthen internal security, improve coordination among various departments, and enhance public trust in the police force.

Soon after the announcement, senior officials of the state police headquarters congratulated Anurag on his new role and assured their full cooperation in maintaining law and order across the state.
